Large period Kitchen, Gloucestershire.
Large period kitchen in Manor House, Gloucestershire.
This shows excellent use of colour dictated very much by the history of the house and the garden.
Exceptionally high ceilings with intricate detail on the coving, lots of natural light and a room used 24 hours a day! Multi-functional room used by a large family.
My thoughts were always to work with the history of the house. The kitchen dresser was designed using clean lines allowing a contemporary twist on what would have been a victorian dresser. This has been made from solid maple wood.
An Aga was an immediate purchase! In my view, this is essential for any large country kitchen with a busy household. Instant food and warmth all year round! Immediately becomes one of the family!
Creating work surfaces using a variety of natural materials and set at different levels. Predominately made up of honed granite and maple wood. The lower work station on the island allows younger children to cook safely and with ease.
Window seat was a definite must with such a beautiful window and view. Creating this as the sitting area allows all the family to enjoy the garden as much as the space inside the home.
